We have realized this computer program after years of study and the use of algorithmic tests that have suggested the hypothesis that the heart works following the laws of dynamic physics, not at all according to the volume/pressure diagram, an erroneous concept, incredibly surviving for more than a century. This software shows that our assumption is correct.

Our algorithms use only two silhouettes, the larger one (end-diastolic) and the smaller (end-systolic) in the two standard projections, right anterior oblique (RAO) 30° and left anterior oblique (LAO) 60°.  Both silhouettes in OAD 30° become divided into 40 rectangular slices, while the profiles in OAS 60° into 35 angular sectors, nine degrees each. In both cases, the percent area reduction among slices generates a contraction curve.  These curves compared with the standard curves published at the time, produce three types of diagnosis. 1) Differential diagnosis, attributing a value to the positioning of the points on a scheme.  2) Analytical determination, describing the positioning of the points on the diagram divided into several areas (hyperkinesis, normal kinesis, hypokinesis, akinesis and dyskinesis). 3) Synthetic diagnosis using the same terminology used by angiographers. Apart from the repeatability and comparability of numerical processing, the third diagnosis is essential, because it allows direct control of the readings. In case of discrepancy, either the subjective determination is wrong, often inaccurate or incomplete, or the silhouettes or axes are wrong; in fact, the algorithm only performs calculations with an accuracy of less than one millimeter.

The User must pay considerable attention drawing silhouettes edges towards silhouette's apex because the small areas in this part of the drawing magnify the error of the calculations.
