Primary Cardiologist

Giorgio Bozzi, born in Milan on 3 March 1940. Classic high school at Beccaria, enrolment in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in the academic year 1960-61; degree in November 1966 with a thesis on glomerular filtration. After his military service, a specialization in Cardiology concluded in 1970 in Milan, with a particular interest in electrocardiography and vectorcardiography with Giorgio Cecchetti and Massimo Obbiassi, whom I remember with affection and gratitude for the teachings received.

1970 - 1974 Assistant at the Division of Emergency Medicine of the Polyclinic Hospital in Milan.
1972 6-month internship at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and the Catheterization Laboratory (CathLab) of the Hospital of Niguarda (Milan) for learning of the organization and management of patients.
1975 - 1990 First assistant and then graduate at the Division of Cardiology of the Sacco Hospital in Milan. 

1985 30-day internship at CathLab of the Montreal Heart Institute limited to organizational analysis and operational methodologies. In this hospital, I witnessed the first coronary angioplasty.

1989 - 1990 18 months of practice at the CathLab of the Columbus Clinic in Milan, with the in-depth study of techniques of coronary angioplasty.

1991 - 1992 Primary acting as the Division of Cardiology.
1993 - 1995 Return to the head of the Hemodynamics Laboratory.
Using the knowledge acquired in the various stages, I opened the CCU of the Sacco Hospital, the electrophysiology laboratory and finally the CathLab.
From March 1966 to June 2006 I was head of the Cardiology Division of the Bassini Hospital in Cinisello Balsamo (MI).
